Lesson 1 – Introduction to the Hacker World

Now we will introduce the basics concepts behind the Hacker World. Hackers born immediately after the mass-distribution of the first computers and the first expression of what Hackers do were “Virus”.
Virus simply are programs that the user doesn’t know about their presence on his computer, and that effectively could damage the user’s computer.
The mass-diffusion of Virus, begun likely at our days with Internet: in practice Hackers added the Virus to Programs and Video Games; people bring that by hand, over Floppy Disk (magnetics supports made likely our CD or DVD but with very less space into). Obviously that pirated programs and video gams, not being original, hasn’t the warranty to be secure; so, a little for negligence, a little for other reasons, people installed and used pirated programs and video games, installing the contained Virus onto their computers.
This was the first expression of what Hackers do.
As all of you know very well, now Virus propagate over Internet and all that Virus takes the name of “Worm”.Worms simply are modified Virus that try to infect as much computers as possible, using the vulnerabilities presents on the attacked computer.
We will see later on how to write our own Virus for fun and profit, but not now, it is too earl! Don’t be to much impatient!
Another thing that Hacker do very very well is to introduce its self into others people computers. This practice born with the diffusion of Internet; obviously before the arrive of Internet, the direct attack had no sense, because there was no way to connect to others people computers!
